The former laboratories of the famous Nobel Prize winner Paul Sabatier are on show in the heart of the Cité internationale Université de Toulouse. Following his Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1912, Professor Sabatier used his award to finance his scientific research and to build his new laboratory. His laboratory contributed to the scientific development of Toulouse for many years.

In 2017, the Université de Toulouse decided to restore the building, the history of which the general public was longer familiar with, to its former glory. La Cité Jardins, in collaboration with the Université de Toulouse, was able to showcase its expertise in restoring this historic building and create a new offer in the existing urban landscape.
